Rome versus Florence, the eternal battle between two of Italy’s most important cities will never cease. The rivalry is real and the rivalry is fierce, but each of these two epic destinations has a lot to offer the discerning traveler.

Rome is the nation’s capital and its largest city, a sprawling megalopolis that was once the center of the known world. There are ruins, museums and fantastic food, to name just a few of the great things to do in Rome. Florence, on the other hand, is the cradle of the Renaissance, a large but never overbearing city that’s brimming with culture and art.

April 15, 2023: Day 1
Depart from USA, overnight flight to Rome

April 16, 2023: Day 2
Morning arrival from USA, private airport transfers to Hotel Savoy in Rome, afternoon tour of the Parthenon and Piazza Navona, private welcome dinner with wine 

April 17, 2023: Day 3
Breakfast included at hotel, included day tour to the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, including lunch, evening free in Rome

April 18, 2023: Day 4
Breakfast included at hotel, included day tour of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Circus Maximus, remainder of day free to explore, shop and eat.


April 19, 2023: Day 5
Breakfast and hotel check out, depart for Chianti Valley en-route to Florence. Wine and food experience included, with tasting and lunch, including afternoon olive oil farm and coffee stop. Hotel Baglioni check in and evening free in Florence. 

April 20, 2023: Day 6
Breakfast included at hotel, guided tour of Florence, including Michaelangeo’s David.  Additional optional tours available for purchase today. 

April 21, 2023: Day 7
Breakfast included at hotel, full day in Siena with guided tours and lunch on own.  Evening farewell dinner is in Florence.

April 22, 2023: Day 8
Private transfers to airport, return to USA
