Main International Airport
Thailand is a major international hub for many of the worlds airlines. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is the main international airport in Bangkok for most international airlines. Don Mueang (DMK), also located in Bangkok, operates international flights and low-cost domestic airline options. There are also international flight options from Koh Samui (USM), Phuket (HKT), Krabi (KBV) and Hat Yai (HDY) in the south of Thailand, and Chiang Mai (CNX) in the north of the country.

Highlights of Bangkok

Let’s explore the hidden face of Bangkok by boarding motor boats which take you through Bangkok’s waterway into complex network of Thonburi canals. Enjoy picturesque sights and scenes of traditional Thai canal life with hours on stilts, hidden temples, and water taxi.

Then will join Thai set menu at Supatra River House, then  will visit Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha. The magnificent buildings of the Grand Palace yield a feeling of the grandeur Thai architectural style. It was constructed some 220 years ago by the command of King Rama I. The Temple of Emerald Buddha, commonly known as Wat Phra Kaew, is part of the Grand Palace. It was built according to traditional Thai belief from Sukhothai reign, the first capital of Thailand, in order to have a temple for royal ceremonies in the compound of the grand palace and house the most revered Buddha statue of each era. It’s where Phra Kaew or the Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image of Thai people, is housed.

Later on, take a Tuk Tuk ride along old quarters of Bangkok and visit Wat Pho with its beautiful large Reclining Buddha  before return to hotel.

Day 4 (OPTION 1) – October 5

Factory Visit 

  • This morning we depart by private vehicle with our local English speaking guide to visit tire factory in Samut Sakhorn province.

Walking experience in China Town & Wholesale Market 

On this ultimate walking tour around Chinatown on  Yaowarat Road. The street is lined with gold shops, Chinese herbalists, shops selling snacks of every variety, paper items for funerals, incense and just about everything else. It’s said you can find almost anything in Chinatown, if you know where to look!  Of course, most of the signs are in Chinese.  Then we walk to Sampeng Wholesale Market. Don’t let the small size fool you. This small alleys and passages wide enough to walk down.  The lane is full of stalls and shops selling just about everything, but with a big emphasis on cheap clothing and household goods. The lane is long and narrow, rarely wide enough for a single car. We continue to Phahurat Market, more or less the heart of Little India. Here you’ll find many fabric shops as well as clothing stores and Indian snack shops. Keep an eye out for the many shops selling wedding keepsakes. After that, will enjoy lunch at local restaurant before return to hotel.

Located across the river from Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Sala Rim Naam is housed in a richly-decorated pavilion and offers a menu of outstanding Thai cuisine. Enjoy a gourmet set dinner menu accompanied by the city’s most spectacular cultural performance and dance shows.

This gives you  a context to understand, appreciate and create dishes that are essential parts of our authentic Thai cuisine menu.

The class is conducted in a warm, open and interactive format while taking you on an exotic Thai culinary adventure. Participants are given hands on experience in cooking while also getting inside knowledge of local ingredients. Afternoon: Damneon Saduak Floating Market, Giant Pagoda and Garland Making Workshop with lunch at Sampran Riverside

Depart morning for Damnoensaduak Floating Market, the most popular floating market in Thailand. On the way a stop is made at Talad Maeklong (Risky Market) where the market is situated on the railway tracks selling their products from sea foods, vegetables, desserts and many more. Take a long-tail boat cruising along the canal to see Thai rural life on the way down to floating market. Later on, continue to the oldest city of  Thailand, Nakorn Pathom, and visit the World’s largest pagoda. We drive to Sampran Riverside hotel to enjoy buffet lunch, after that will enjoy workshop at Patom organic village such as rice body scrub, Thai dessert, clay workshop, and  garland making.

Return to hotel approximately 5:00 p.m.

Day 8 (OPTION 1) – October 9

Old Chiang Mai & City Temples

The city of Chiang Mai has a wealth of beautiful and historic Buddhist Wats (temples), and on this tour a visit to the most fascinating Wats is made. Near the summit of Doi Suthep, is the 600 year old temple of WAT PHRATHAT DOI SUTHEP. After a drive up the mountain’s winding road, the final climb to the site is via an enormous mythological Nagas (Dragon-headed serpent) staircase of 306 steps (elevators are available). Inside the cloister is an intriguing copper-plated chedi topped by a five-tier gold parasol, which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. On a clear day, there are incomparable views over the city of Chiang Mai from the temple grounds. Other temples visited on this tour include WAT SUAN DOK, whose large central stupa contains Buddha relic which supposedly self-multiplied! And, WAT CHEDI LUANG consist of an impressive chedi, originally built in 1411. It reached a height of over 85 meters before it was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. It now reach a height of only 60 meters The temple also contains the city pillar.

Baan Tawai is the village of wood-carving handicrafts. It has been known as the major cultural attraction of Chiangmai for Thai and foreign tourists. Learning woodcarving at Tawai village.
